N&M Chairman Leads WFCTA in Expanding Networking within the Semiconductor Industry

  Taiwan Nano & Micro-Photonics (N&M) Chairman Rone Chiu was recently appointed as the Chairperson of the Semiconductor and Technology Development Committee during the 23rd Board and Supervisors Meeting of the World Federation of Chinese Traders Association. The nomination, made by President Lee Yun-Wei, was unanimously approved by the board members. This appointment highlights Taiwan Nano & Micro-Photonics’ technical leadership in semiconductor and technological innovation, while also advancing international collaboration within the global Chinese business community.

  Taiwan’s economy thrives on agile small and medium-sized enterprises, which dominate niche markets as “hidden champions.” As Chairperson, Rone Chiu aims to amplify the influence of these champions in global markets through international resource integration and strategic brand marketing. His vision includes expanding their market share and strengthening their competitive edge on the international stage.

  In his capacity as Chairman of Taiwan Nano & Micro-Photonics, Rone Chiu has long championed the integration of semiconductor and silicon photonics technologies to develop innovative solutions for health-focused applications. With this new role, Rone plans to establish a global semiconductor platform connecting Chinese businesses worldwide. This initiative will foster deeper collaboration between Taiwan’s semiconductor sector and global Chinese businesses, strengthening Taiwan's semiconductor supply chain and creating a robust industrial cluster akin to Taiwan’s "Silicon Shield." 

  Rone’s leadership will focus on linking Taiwan’s tech ecosystem with the global Chinese supply chain, promoting advanced technologies such as silicon photonics, IoT, and AI. His efforts will aim to enhance the accessibility and cost efficiency of these solutions, reinforcing Taiwan’s strength in technological innovation and manufacturing while fostering mutually beneficial growth across the global Chinese business network.

  Rone Chiu’s appointment is not only a testament to Taiwan Nano & Micro-Photonics’ technical excellence but also an invaluable addition to the World Federation of Chinese Traders Association’s technological capabilities.
