Lin Ching-Fu, CTO of N&M, was invited by the Rotary Club to analyze the development of silicon photonics. Being a Distinguished Professor of NTU, Lin is one of the very few optoelectronics scholars in Taiwan who obtain both a fellow of the IEEE and a fellow of SPIE.

N&M participated in and supported an art event: "Ching-Fei and Peony Encounter - A Banquet Discussion on the Intersection of Technology and Art" in September Chairman, Rone emphasized in his opening speech that technology and art are not two independent fields, but there is a deep connection between them.
